Shim Shimminy
After the “ribs” are in long, thin boards are clamped horizontally in approximate relation to where that actual planks will be and the curve is eye-balled to see that there is a nice, graceful curve from rib to rib. Where there’s too much of a hump the rib must be shaved down; where the board flattens out a “shim” must be added to bring it out a wee bit.
