Ground Breaking for Boatyard

The Saint Augustine Maritime Heritage Foundation is moving forward with its signature activities for the 450th Commemoration.  On Thursday, November 10th at 3pm, the Foundation will host a groundbreaking ceremony for its 16th Century Replica Boatyard at the Fountain of Youth Archeological Park The site, on the edge of a beautiful waterfront field, will provide a Boatshed and storage facilities for the building of two replica boats: An open row/sail longboat called a Chalupa, and a ocean capable  Caravel, the “San Agustin”
